Kensington, Victoria 3031, Australia
full-time

About the Role

The role of the Structures Inspector is to contribute technical and project delivery skills to Sterling’s projects. The role will have a primary focus on undertaking in-field inspections and investigations of bridges and other structural assets. Typical assets for inspection include Road and Rail bridges constructed of steel, concrete, timber and other materials, as well as related civil transportation asset classes such as culverts, retaining walls, overhead gantries, etc. The level of inspection complexity will vary from Visual / Level 2 Inspections to more complete, Level 3 / Engineering Inspections.

Based out of either our Brisbane or Melbourne office, the inspection activities will be undertaken nation wide, and may require interstate mobilisations for several weeks at a time. Fieldwork is a major component of the role and the Structural Engineer / Structures Inspector may be expected to spend up to 75% of available time mobilised in the field.
