About the Role

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Concrete Labourer to join our team on concrete remediation projects across Central Queensland. This is a hands-on role assisting with demolition, preparation, pouring, and finishing of concrete works.

This position is offered on a casual basis, with consistent full-time hours of 8–12 hour days and applicable allowances. With ongoing remedial projects in the pipeline, there is strong potential for ongoing work and future full-time opportunities for the right candidate. Rostering options are available.

Responsibilities:

  • Demolition of existing concrete surfaces and structures
  • Assist with preparation of concrete surfaces for pouring
  • Pour and spread concrete using various tools and equipment
  • Smooth and finish surfaces using trowels, screeds, and other hand tools
  • Operate power tools such as jackhammers and concrete saws
  • Clean and maintain tools and equipment
  • Comply with basic procurement procedures
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the Site Supervisor
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines at all times
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in concrete remediation or civil labouring (preferred)
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • RIW card (preferred)
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Plant tickets or additional qualifications highly regarded

You will be rewarded with an immediate start with the possibility of an ongoing fulltime position to the right candidates. You may be required to travel throughout Queensland, in which case penalties and allowances will apply.

Note: successful completion & passing of CAT1 Rail Medical, police check and drug & alcohol screen are pre-employment requirements of the role.
