Kaan is a structural engineer with over six years of experience specializing in the construction, maintenance, and inspection of road and rail bridges across Europe, Africa, and Australia. As the Asset Management Lead at Sterling Infrastructure, Kaan manages nationwide structural inspection contracts, and overseeing Inspections (Level 2) and Investigations (Level 3) teams. His expertise spans engineering assessments, emergency response evaluations, and advanced data collection methodologies, including tactile operations, such as rope access, confined spaces, working at heights; and robotic use, such as drones, ROVs, and 3D photogrammetric modelling.

A CASA-qualified Chief Remote Pilot, Kaan leads Sterling's UAV and ROV operations, ensuring innovative and efficient access solutions for asset inspections. He is proficient in both destructive and non-destructive testing for timber, steel, and concrete, with a particular focus on interpreting testing outcomes and remote monitoring of structural deterioration. Since joining Sterling in January 2023, he has contributed significantly to inspecting ARTC, Transurban, Aurizon, DTP, MTM, and V/Line structures while continuing to refine his approach to integrating cutting-edge technology with traditional engineering practices.
