About the Role

We’re looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our Rockhampton team. In this role, you’ll take the lead in delivering small to medium civil maintenance and construction projects, ensuring each is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional and technical standards. You’ll also play a key supporting role alongside the Senior Project Manager on more complex projects, contributing to their successful delivery by helping ensure all daily project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Safe and efficient delivery of allocated project portfolio.
  • Client and Project Management – Safely – On Time and On Budget.
  • Developing strong client relationships, that build trust and win repeat business.
  • Maintaining and improving safety in the workplace.
  • Stakeholder communication within boundaries of allocated projects.
  • Development and preparation of project documentation including safety management plans, inspection and test plans, site specific registers and other project specific documentation.
  • Lead projects kick off briefings and lessons learned to maximise clarity and learnings with all projects to ensure continuous improvement is being sought.
  • Assisting in the development of Project Management Plans for complex projects.
  • Internal reporting and job management.
  • Working within and driving continuous improvement of business systems.
  • Contract management and administration.
  • Scoping of small to medium scale jobs, pricing, programming and tendering.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years in civil construction
  • 2+ year in project coordination roles
  • Current driver’s license

Desirable

  • Railway experience
  • Diploma of Project Management
  • Bachelor Civil Engineering
