Concrete Labourer – Remediation & Maintenance

About the Role

We are seeking hardworking and reliable Concrete Labourer's to join our Concrete Remediation and Maintenance team for projects across Central Queensland.

This hands-on role involves assisting with demolition, preparation, pouring, finishing, and repair of concrete structures, along with general maintenance works. The position demands strong physical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This is a casual role working full-time hours (10–12 hours per day) with applicable allowances. With a strong pipeline of ongoing remediation projects, there is potential for the role to transition to a permanent position, with flexible rostering options available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demolition of existing concrete surfaces and structures
  • Assisting with concrete preparation and formwork
  • Pouring, spreading, and finishing concrete using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Operating power tools including jackhammers and concrete saws
  • Cleaning and maintaining tools and workspaces
  • Supporting procurement processes as required
  • Undertaking additional duties as directed by the site supervisor
  • Complying with all safety protocols and site guidelines
  • Effectively communicating with supervisors and team members

Skills & experience:

  • Previous experience in concrete remediation or construction highly regarded
  • Physically fit with the ability to lift and move heavy materials
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Current RIW Card (preferred)
  • Current Driver’s Licence (essential and manual preferred)
  • Relevant plant operator tickets or qualifications and heavy vehicle Driver’s Licences are advantageous

Please Note: Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of a Category 1 Rail Medical, National Police Check, and Drug & Alcohol Screening.
